The Guild System

Background[]

The first guild created was created 165 years ago in the years X633 on the Northern continent of Giltena by Elefseria due witnesses the deaths of countless wizards by people who believed to an evil power, and thus Magia Dragon was created.

Magic Guilds are organizations of Wizards. Magic Guilds are guilds which are recognized by the Magic Council and most have strong connections to multiple other Magic guilds. Guild Masters form a body called the Local Guild Master League and they meet for various purposes. There is currently more than one league in Kingdom of Fiore.

Magic Guilds used to go to war with each other quite often over Trade, Land and establishments. At the end of the Second Trade War, the Magic Council passed the Interguild Dispute Interdiction Treaty that forbids all acts of aggression against other guilds registered by the Magic Council on Ishgar. Currently their are total of 500 guilds in Ishgar.

On Alakitasia the 730 Magic Guilds both legal and dark under the rule Zeref Dragneel eventually formed together to create the Alvarez Empire.

Set-Up[]

All Magic Guilds must first be registered by the Magic Council before it can become official. The purpose of a guild is to obtain and disseminate job requests to the members of the guild. When a member joins the guild a guild is tattoo somewhere on their bodies to mark them as official members. It is against the law to have guild's symbol unless someone is a member.
